Objectives
Below are the objectives that we try to achieve with our PACING TEAM
- Setting the Pace: Pacers are responsible for maintaining a consistent pace throughout the race. By adhering closely to the set target times, pacers help runners gauge their speed and ensure they don’t start too fast or slow.
- Guiding Participants: Pacers serve as guides on the course, leading runners along the designated route. They are familiar with the course terrain, elevation changes, and potential challenges, providing valuable insights to participants. This guidance helps runners conserve energy and stay mentally focused.
- Motivating and Encouraging Runners: Pacers offer encouragement and motivation to participants throughout the race. Their aim is to boost morale and inspire runners to push through difficult moments. Whether it’s offering words of encouragement, sharing personal anecdotes, or cheering on participants, pacers play a key role in fostering a supportive and positive race environment.
- Creating a Sense of Community: Pacers help foster a sense of camaraderie among participants. As experienced runners who are passionate about the sport, they serve as role models and mentors. Our Pacers’ roles are to engage with runners, share stories, offer advice, and build connections that extend beyond the race itself.
